About Peaceful Seedling

Peaceful Seedling is a Richmond, VA-based perinatal yoga project dedicated to offering safe, accessible, and creative yoga classes personalized to support holistic well-being before, during, and after pregnancy. Founded by yoga practitioner Hannah E.B. Prado out of a hope to empower people to cultivate mental and physical wellness during one of the most transformational periods of life– becoming a parent– Peaceful Seedling creates yoga classes unique to your journey into parenthood. As you endeavor to grow your family, there are several phases, from hoping and planning to conceive to pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Peaceful Seedling offers classes that reflect the physical, mental, and emotional landscapes of each of these phases and take into account your unique experience along the way. With the belief that every body and every pregnancy is different and deserving of excellent perinatal care, Hannah lovingly and thoughtfully creates a personalized yoga experience designed to foster well-being, resilience, and a deeper connection with yourself and your growing family. Hannah looks forward to supporting you through this extraordinary endeavor with the ancient art and science of Yoga! About the Peaceful Seedling Ethos

The Peaceful Seedling ethos holds that all people have the right to access excellent perinatal care, including Yoga and its benefits, regardless of size, gender, sexuality, age, ethnicity, religion, culture, or socioeconomic status.

We recognize that not every birthing body identifies as female or cis-gender, and we ally with all LGBTQIA+ individuals. To this end, Hannah employs gender and body-neutral language in group classes and engages one-on-one with students in a manner that respects and honors their identity.

To ensure that our classes remain accessible and inclusive, Hannah aims to be as flexible as possible and to collaborate with each student to find a yoga program that works for them, including offering sliding scale rates.

Hannah welcomes any input on how to make Peaceful Seedling a more inclusive and accessible project. Please reach out with ideas, insights, or suggestions!
